How to Solve a Clueprint Puzzle

Each puzzle is the floor plan of a house where a murder has just taken place. Your task is to use the clues to work out exactly where every suspect was standing, and so unmask the killer. There is exactly one suspect in each row and in each column of the floor plan, and never more than one suspect in the same room. The murder room (shaded, with the body in it) holds exactly one suspect: the killer. Walls can only be crossed through doors. The small letters in each square are the suspects who could still be standing there: cross them out as you rule them out. Every puzzle can be solved by pure logic, with no guessing.
